Elbow grease – My holy grail product! I will apologise now, I go on and on about elbow grease. It really is the only cleaner you’d ever need. A powerful degreaser which is safe for fabrics. Great for spot cleaning carpets. There is yet to be a stain that elbow grease couldn’t help me get out of my client’s carpets. Use sparingly though, it cleans so well you can end up with prominent clean spots instead of stains.
Flash speed mop – Perfect for quick spot cleaning but also great for smaller rooms with laminate or vinyl.
Dust mop – now this might seem unnecessary but if you have hardwood that scratches easily dust mops are a great alternative to vacuuming. Flash do sell dry mop sheets for the speed mop but I prefer the ones that look a bit like a bath mat on a stick 😂
A good hoover – Personally, I love the Shark anti-hair wrap cordless vacuum. The anti-hair wrap is a lifesaver, especially if you have long-haired furry family members! just don’t forget to remove the built-up hair or you won’t see the best results.
Steam mop – You’ll see a trend starting here. I love the Shark steam cleaners. This one is a great entry-level steam mop, perfect for smaller homes. If you have a larger budget and larger rooms, the Vax ONEPWR Glide hard floor cleaner is a great bit of kit. Not only does it steam your floors but it dries them as well! one con with the Vax though, it doesn’t quite get right up to the edges.
Mop and shine – I love this for hardwood floors, it gives such a beautiful shine. However, it is marketed for all sealed hard floor types, I can only vouch for it on treated hardwood. The best part, if you accidentally knock the bucket over you can just mop it straight on 😂
